Our
club is located on the western shore of beautiful
Osoyoos

Easy
access to town by a short walk leads visitors to a variety of stores for those
wishing to shop.
The
club recently completed a sponsored project to manufacture a fleet of sailing dingy’s for use by the members and participants in
the sailing school operated by the club as it's contribution to the community
of Osoyoos.
A
varied social program is a staple in any sailing club and ours is no exception
with a club house providing recreational space for meetings, social functions
and workshops. Lockers for members are also part of the facility when
available.

club building is the old railway station, moved to it's
present site on waterfront parkland leased from the town of

Membership
is open to all, and we encourage those interested in sailing to drop by and
meet us on a casual basis. We offer excellent parking facilities, showers, a
workshop and a kitchen. To those interested in wind sports other than sail
boats, Board and Kite
sailing is gaining interest amongst the members and we invite anyone interested
in these sports to consider joining us. We
recently welcomed the Roaring Fourties Kite Boarders
to our group.

Learn to Sail Program

>The
Lake Osoyoos Sailing Club will hold White Sail I, II,
III
CYA
certified courses for ages 10 to seniors in 2010 at the
Starting "To Be Announced"
Courses
are 15 hours long – 3 hours / day Monday through Friday.

Lake Osoyoos Sailing Club was founded in 1968 and currently has
approximately 60 members who finance the clubs activities through annual
memberships. We are pleased to host various sailing events at the club each
year. The schedule is usually posted on the club bulletin board. Racing is
normally a part of club life and we have a fleet of Sea Spray and Hobie catamarans. In
addition, we have several Lasers, a couple of Flying Juniors and a one design
dingy fleet available for pleasure use by our members when not in use by the
sailing classes. We are hopeful that in 2009 a regular racing schedule will
be available for those wishing to compete
